E-1 Constellations

I had four models, which equated to five spaces. I decided to conjoin two spaces (kitchen and bar), since they were going to be in the same area. I built the models based on the problems that I had in the current spaces. Most of these problems were largely due to lack of space, or storage.

This was a basic model of the revamped kitchen and bar space. I opened the space and allowed fluid circulation while adding additional counter space and storage. The bar was lowered to allow more social interaction between people in the space.

My desk area was kept to the same relative size, however I created a circular shape and partitions to divide the different uses for the desk space.
I suspended my chair in the corner for a comfier and more relaxing seating style.
I added a bookshelf to my bed and added a pop-up television so that it could be ideal for space and relaxation.

I began placing the spaces together and creating connections. This is an image of the rough draft of connections. I put my bed on a loft and suspended my relaxation chair above the kitchen space. I placed the desk area below the bedroom for a private nook type space. The kitchen acts as the 'heart' of the connections.

This was the final arrangement of spaces. I connected the desk area to the kitchen with stairs and added a vertical wall from the edge of the counter to the bedroom.
