E3 – Recursion Penthouse

The overall project goal was to increase density within our block located in downtown Moscow, Idaho. On our block we focused on creating a variety of different programs that would attract a diverse group of people, including commercial shopping, recreational spaces, and a variety of residential units. My individual project focused on the penthouses located on the 5th floor. Below are a series of diagrams, drawings, and images that show my design process.

I had a lot of fun with this project. I really enjoyed getting down and designing something within the context of other people's projects. I looked to create a very successful urban space and so I looked for inspiration from what I have learned from studying Jane Jacobs.
