Group Alleyway (TA: Noah) E2
We set out to capture a lot of the detail from the alleyway that our group had. We added doors, windows, signs, and some of the duct work.
Here are some of our concept ideas. We used the board to come up with ideas to make both groups cohesive

- Team Sill (Dalton, Chase, Miranda, Nick, San) plans on dividing our ally way North and South which is hamburger style cut through the middle. Our parameters are 10" x 40" pertaining to the ground area of the ally and rises 27.5" where our east facade faces. We are utilizing the tall east facade to our advantage to where we are creating four plus levels that follow a hierarchy starting from the ground level at public > semi-public > semi-private > private into the top of the facade where we will exploit the height with a deck and relaxing spaces. Chase's elevator from the last exercise will be the focal point of the circulation and will be placed on the tall face of the building. All the spaces will correlate with each other on each floor level to create diversity and excitement, and in doing so the hierarchy will not be adhered completely. Some ideas we have include a curtain or blanket type of exterior that will drape onto the opposing building and down the center of the ally. We have discussed an elevated first floor to keep the "ally perspective" intact and provide easy movement through the ally space.

Hey guys, thought this looked similar to the moldable skin from Eamonn's constellation. It's an interesting way to think about how we use materials... Check it out! (Click the link)

Statement: To create an active living plaza that examines and explores the relationships of desired programatic zones and the ways they connect.
Annie's Group Design Statement
Using the existing alleyway structures, the group will create a constellation of spaces elevated above the alley by a hybrid structure system. A vertical sense of order will be maintained per space with attention to the existing compactness of said spaces. Connections between programs will be created per space. These connections will be physical and/or conceptual depending upon the specific space in question.
