Throughout this process we recreated the Moscow, ID alley way that spans behind Champions bar to the State Farm Insurance Firm. We went about it by massing the existing conditions, then slowly added detail including windows, electricity boxes, fire escapes, and entourage. | In this photo you can see the final product for our envelope as well as our boardwalk. The envelope is inspired by a nest and the combination of light and privacy that it offers. With the boardwalk it allows light to break through as if the people underneath are walking under a tree's canopy of leaves. The boardwalk also serves purpose to connect the spaces and add natural life in the center of a highly industrial and cold space. |
